Dion Red Gun & Cherylene Bullbear
Dion and Cherylene are members of Siksika First Nation and have been hosting cultural programs for over 25 years on and around Nation lands. Dion located River Ranche in “Little Chicago” where he grew up listening to elders share stories of their life and ancient Blackfoot history. Cherylene and Dion’s passion is to welcome both Canadian and International visitors to the Siksika Bow River valley, share and promote a rich Blackfoot heritage, make new friends, and participate in youth activities.
Cherylene and Dion have 3 sons (DJ has passed on), 1 daughter, 10 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters. Dion has been living with a disability for around 17 years and accepts the challenges through lifelong learnings and applied knowledge he received at CDI College and Mount Royal University. In his spare time he enjoys floating the Bow River and photographing the pristine Bow River valley.
